The Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad became an official Toys for Tots drop off Location! Anyone interested in participating can drop off a new unwrapped toy to our building 24/7 located at 297 Delafield Ave Lyndhurst NJ 07071. If the squad members happen to be on an ambulance call please leave the item in the front of the building and we will grab the item once we get back from a call. Any questions or if you would like us to pick up a donation please email us at recruitment@emergencysquad.com. All toys will be accepted until 12/10/2018 at Midnight!

We have also included some ideas and Other Category for you to suggest a movie that is not on the list!  The two movies that get the most requests will be shown in the park.  We hope to see you all there! Admission is free and popcorn will be provided.  Other Concessions will be on sale to help with the cost of the movie License.

Last year we Filled an ambulance full of toys for those in need lets see if we can get 2 this year!

Free CPR Classes July/Aug 2017 to Township Residents! Non Residents welcome for a discounted price!

The Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad with sponsorship from the Lyndhurst Health Dept.  Is offering a Free CPR Classes for township residents and a discounted CPR Class to Non Residents.  The certification will be American Heart association Heart saver program which includes Adult, Child, and Infant CPR along with AED Training.

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED is recommended for everyone including daycare providers, pilots, fitness instructors, warehouse workers, office staff, lifeguards, teachers, church staff, safety committee staff, or anyone who is not a health care provider.

Training Class: Free

CPR Card: $10 (if you would like certification)

Non Lyndhurst Residents

Training Class: $40

CPR Card: Included in cost

DSC_0329WHEREAS, the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad for the last 73 years has provided an invaluable lifesaving service to the Township of Lyndhurst and its residents and businesses by responding to a wide variety of medical emergencies within the Township; and

WHEREAS, the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad is comprised of many selfless individuals who volunteer countless hours over the course of the year to aid and assist residents of this community and others who require medical assistance, often under very difficult circumstances; and

WHEREAS, all of the residents of our community are deeply appreciative of the volunteer services provided by the membership of the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad to our Township since access to quality emergency medical care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and

WHEREAS, we the members of the Governing Body of the Township of Lyndhurst realize to the fullest extent the irreversible harm that would be caused to this Municipality by residents not continuing to volunteer their time as Emergency Medical Technicians with the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad

WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the value and the accomplishments of emergency medical services providers by designating Emergency Medical Services Week; now

WHEREAS, the week of May 17, 2015 through May 23, 2015 is being recognized nationwide as Emergency Medical Services Week With the theme, EMS Strong

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Robert B. Giangeruso, Mayor of the Township of Lyndhurst, hereby declare May 17, 2015 through May 23, 2015 in the Township of Lyndhurst as,

 Defensive Driving Course

 March 16, 2013 9:00am – 4:00pm

Cost is $65.00

The Defensive Driving Course contains the most recent research on preventing death and injuries due to traffic accidents. New safety issues addressed include airbags, anti-lock braking systems, safety belts, child restraints, headrests and much more. The state of NJ has established a 2-point vehicle reduction program for NJ Drivers who satisfactorily complete a registered Defensive Driving Course, like this one. NJ Insurance Commissioner, Elizabeth Randle, advises that the drivers who complete a six-hour Defensive Driving Course can now save a minimum of 5% from the base rate for bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and collision coverage for three-year period.
