The North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad in conjunction with The Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad will be holding a Tricky Tray on Thursday February 23, 2017 at the Fiesta. All funds raised at this event will go towards education and new equipment to help the community that we serve.
The North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad along with Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad together have volunteered 120 years of service to our communities, this last year alone both squads combined have volunteered 42,000 hours of service. Both organizations work hand in hand in a mutual aid agreement, covering each others towns when the other becomes unavailable. We were the first two towns in Bergen County to deploy mechanical CPR devices (Zoll Autopulse), both squads have a combined totally of 10 CPR saves since deployment, the cost of this new life saving technology is $15,000.00 per machine. This fund raising event will help provide not only education for our members but for new equipment to better serve our communities.

Hi everyone! If you have not done so already, Please make sure to register for our Monopoly Tournament (October 20) and our 5k Run and Walk (October 21)!

Both events will help LPES raise funds to buy crucial lifesaving equipment and to fund training for the organization’s volunteer members.  LPES has done a lot to give back to the community in 2012 including Blood Drives, a Kickball event for the Special Angels, a food drive to support the Lyndhurst Food Pantry and most importantly, the organization’s volunteers have responded to over 1,000 emergency calls in 2012 alone. LPES now needs your help to continue to fund the organization’s mission.
If you would like to donate or volunteer, but can’t make our fundraisers, please visit our donation page and keep posted for more opportunities on how you can support our cause.

LPES partners with EMSFR

Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad (LPES) is proud to announce its partnership with Emergency Medical Services Family Resources (EMSFR) —a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the families of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics who have suffered from a catastrophic illness, injury or death.

LPES has decided to support EMSFR to protect its volunteer members and also to help other EMTs and Paramedics throughout the country. “EMSFR is much like the Police Benevolent Association and the Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association.” Said Tarcisio Nunes, captain of the LPES. “Everyday thousands of selfless individuals provide emergency medical services, often in extremely dangerous situations.  EMSFR is the only organization that provides support to the families of these emergency responders.”

The organization was started in October of 2011 Lynn Davis of Las Vegas, NV after her son Justin Conklin of Elizabeth NJ suffered a massive heart attack.  The family, had trouble finding an organization to aid them while Conklin was in the hospital.  Davis created the organization to help emergency responders like Conklin to be prepared and able to support their families in case of a medical emergency or death.
